Not long after our “where it all began” spot, Novitá, @gregcavo and I ventured to yet another fantastic establishment. Porto Vivo, a trendy elegantly designed restaurant located in Huntington, Long Island. It is extremely pretentious, and the fact that Lamborgini’s, Ferarri’s, and Aston Martin’s are parked out front, may intimidate some eaters. However, that only attracts Gregory and I more. We put on our “Sunday Best” and headed to the Gold Coast. The waiters are great, the food is outstanding, the wine list is extensive, and the prices are moderate. The main floor dining room offers a grand entrance with floor to ceiling glass windows and marble tile. The open dining room is accented by authentic brick, dark hardwood floors, exposed duct work and original ceiling beams, and distressed brown leather booths in the center of the room. Don’t forget to get there early to enjoy the bar upstairs before dinner.
